The Nam Pai Chuan Brussels club was founded in October 2004 by its main instructor Sandra Nebe, who, after leaving England, wanted to share her passion for Kung Fu. We are proud to be the first Nam Pai Chuan club in Belgium.
The club counts many active members and invites new ones to join regularly. Our students come from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Classes are taught in French, but the Brussels instructors speak Dutch, German and English.
We organise 2 classes per week for adults (+14yrs) and 1 class per week for children (+7yrs).
Sandra Nebe, Founder
Sandra started studying Nam Pai Chuan in 2000 under Sifu Matthew Gross, at the Sussex University Club in Brighton, England. She became a Black belt in 2004 and, under the guidance of her instructor Matthew, opened her own club in Brussels shortly after. Sandra doesn't teach at the moment to be able to focus on her family.
Jean-Baptiste Herman, Instructor
Jean-Baptiste started studying Nam Pai Chuan Kung Fu in 2005 at the Brussels club. He became a 1st degree Black belt in 2010 under the instruction of Sandra Nebe. In 2017, he became a 2nd degree Black Belt and in 2022 a 3rd degree. Jean-Baptiste continues to train regularly and attend classes and workshops in London and Brighton. He also had the honour to attend a workshop with Daisigung Quek Heng Choon in Malaysia in 2008 as well as another week-long workshop with Great Master Leow Cheng Koon in Penang in 2016 and in Kuala Lumpur in 2018. Jean-Baptiste speaks French and understands Dutch and English.
Michel Arnould, Assistant Instructor
Michel started studying Nam Pai Chuan in 2012 at the Brussels club with Sandra Nebe. He became a 1st degree Black belt in July 2017 under the instruction of Jean-Baptiste Herman. In 2022, he became a 2nd degree Black Belt. He regularly attends training courses and workshops in the UK under Sigung Lai and Sifu Matt Gross. He also had the honour to attend a week-long workshop with Great Master Leow Cheng Koon in Penang in 2016. Michel speaks fluently French and English.
Ralph Terrein, Assistant Instructor
Ralph started studying Nam Pai Chuan in 2012 at the Brussels club with Sandra Nebe. He became a 1st degree Black belt in July 2017 under the instruction of Jean-Baptiste Herman. In 2022, he became a 2nd degree Black Belt. He regularly attends training courses and workshops in the UK under Sigung Lai and Sifu Matt Gross. Valérie Samain, Assistant Instructor
Valérie started studying Nam Pai Chuan with Sandra Nebe in 2005 and became a 1st degree Black belt in 2010. She has attended classes and workshops in London and Brighton. She has also trained under Daisigung Quek Heng Choon in Malaysia. Valérie speaks French and understands Dutch and English.
